Middle of August. There used to be another forum and then there was a bit of a fallout, so I started this place and got a few to sign up. Because it was the summer holidays I had more free time to spend here but now school is in I dont - I think it'd benefit from me (or someone at least) being here a bit more often. Daveazul was doing a good job but I dont know whats happened to him. To be honest I dont mind who signs up but there's that many forums now isnt there - I dont people can be arsed anymore

i know what you mean, i only really used the internet in work and used to browse on kipper about 12 months ago. thought it was ok and used to spend a lot of time on there. got the internet at home now and will be lucky if i spend 10 mins on there a day.

Haha, was reading a piece the other day along the lines of 4 out of 5 white supremacists prefer Obama to McCain! I really hope he does it although I'd be worried for his longevity if he does make it into office ....

i cant comment too much because american politics is not my strong point. my thoughts are he cant e worse than dubya and mccain is no spring chiken and in a potential 8 year term of office he s bound to croak and that leaves the mad woman. jeeees

Tough choice for a lot of Americans it would seem .... a black man in office or the potential of there being a woman there - rock and a hard place for many of them I'm sure!

I never thought there would ever be a black president in my life time. I'm happy about it but just hope that he doesn't disappoints and becomes a president that at least always had the best of intentions. Also I hope he doesn't get assassinated by them hicks down south ha ha

Anyway Trish, whats your views on Obama? Do you think he would have won the electoral race if he was up against a decent candidate?

Hey - McCain had a lot going for him in terms of what Americans seem to like - a war hero, experience, maturity, conservatism. I think its unfair to say Obama had an easy ride and going on what I know about him, I'd say his policies and him as a person stand up to the scrutiny. I'd like to see him get Clinton (Bill, not Hillary) on board in some capacity. There's some truth in what you say I suppose but not enough to make it a landslide. Lets face it, Bush has made a complete balls up of that country so surely Obama cant make things any worse?

Ps Watch out for Poco's imminent return .....

Trish, in regard to packing this site in, I don't think that would be a good idea. I like it because there is a small community of people we all get along with (except Vandamage ) and so it's nice to come on here and chat to like-minded and friendly people. I can't be bothered with BK. Only reason I went on there was because of the, 'Ex hoolies' thread and once that went there was nothing else to go on for. You could put this out on the net, it'll cost you maybe £15 a year if that. But then be prepared to find knobheads signing up.
