I sang a lot as a kid but it's not really a manly thing.
You know at karaoke the people who get rapturous applause from a load of drunk people. That's me that is.
I do actually have a good voice, i think so anyway, then again i could just be another xfactor reject.

I used to do a lot of (free) backing vocals for the likes of Julian Cope, Pete Wylie
Then when I realised I couldnt make a living out of it I used to do the pubs and clubs on the northern circuit. A bit 'Park Avenue' if youre a Peter Kay afficionado
But the 100 Club thing, a friend was appearing there and got me onstage with them
I wont tell you any more because no doubt you'll feel so in awe you wont feel able to talk to me again

Never been to Stringfellows but I've been in a Chinese restaurant in the West End and Peter Stringfellow was on the next table with that woman with pink hair (Foxy someone or other?) that he used to go out with. That'll date me Anyway, he was very pleasant in a northern boy made good kind of way
